BENEFIT THEY'RE REAL PUSH UP LINER | THE EYE LINER EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT

Wowzie wowza. This is one of the most hyped up beauty releases to happen to the beauty community. I actually believe it's the most anticipated release for 2014. I have seen countless YouTube videos, instagram and blog post raving about the Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it to test it out and of course let you guys know on how I feel about it.

Luckily, I ordered it during Benefit Australia's pre-release and tracked it's arrival like a stalker through our postal services. Three days later it was in my hands and I was ready to go! To be honest with you the moment I opened it I was in awe and shocked by what was in front of me. It wasn't what I expected it to be. I thought it would be a felt tip liner with an angle at the end, but it wasn't. It was something completely different and completely revolutionary. This is when I turn into an infomercial....

The tip is designed with a new technology called Accuflex.  The material the tip is made out of is very soft, rubbery and very flexible. This design is meant to help you get  as close to the lash line as possible. The eyeliner itself is a gel consistency (one of my favourite kind of consistencies to create a longer lasting cat eye).

Of course, I thought I was an expert with eyeliner pens and to be honest the first couple of times I made a complete and utter mess of my eyeliner. It does take practice, while the tip is perfectly designed to get close up to the lash line I wasn't use to the flexibility and how bendy it was (like Gumpy!). The reality was, I was use to be extremely rough to my eyes with felt tip liners and brushes, I just had to adjust the pressure that I was use to in the past - one I did that, I was seeing great success. The tip is also angled which is perfect for flicking out the liner for that cat eye we all desire. It also gives you flexibility to create a thin or thick line.

Now to what everyone wants to know. Is it long lasting? Yes, it really is long lasting. You can tell by the picture above that the liner lasts. I tried to rub it off with cleansing water, cleaning oil and make up remover and nothing worked at completely removing it. My only recommendation is to buy the remove to come with to avoid the hassle.

Should you buy this? Yes, but I would say go into the purchase with realistic expectations. Like everything with make up and beauty, getting the perfect application takes practice and a lot of patience. Overall, the product is amazing, different and it's one of the most exciting releases to hit our shores!

  1. This sounds amazing, I have to agree. No one will shut up about it haha! But I do think it's a bit costy, considering it's not going to be cheap and everyone recommends the remover as well...x
