STILA CONVERTIBLE COLOR BRONZING & CONTOURING DUO

For the longest time I had been looking for a cream contour and I happened to be walking around Mecca Maxima when I spotted this gem. It's the Marigold, a Stila Convertible Color Bronzing and Contouring Duo. The moment I swatched it on my hand, it was one of those holy grail beauty product moments, where the sky opened up and sparkles came shooting out. I was overly giddy and needed it as part of my ever growing collection.

I've always been a fan of Stila's convertible colours, so I knew that this product wouldn't disappoint. On one side you're faced with a matte brown shade perfect for contouring, particularly for a medium skin tones. The matte shade is extremely blendable and just looks lovely on the skin. It also lasts very well, which I was surprised with given my combination/oily skin.

On the other side of the contour cream,  you have a lovely bronzy highlight with gold shimmer and peachy undertones. I love this highlighter, but you have to use it carefully or you could be faced with looking overly orange. If you use it ever so lightly, with a stippling brush on the high points of your cheeks it gives a lovely radiant glow, one which looks like you've just been kissed by the sun. If you use it too freely, it will look like the sun had a 5 o'clock shadow and kissed you a little too roughly.

Overall, it's a great product and a more affordable option than the Nars Matte Multiple in Vientiane.

  8. I'm literally obsessed with the stila highlighter duo in kitten, so I wonder if this would go with it nicely? What brush do you use to apply the cream contour?? Love the bronze looking shade as well! Sooo pretty!!!
