I've wanted a Diptyque candle for a very long time. I love the simple and clean design, which is completely parisian and very french like where they are made. Like every beauty lover I adored photos of beauty gurus using them to store their brushes and nicnacs once the candle has completed burnt out.

I use to always be that creep that sat in the store smelling them all, but would always walking away because could I really justify $78 on a candle?

Fortunately, I was lucky enough to be gifted this candle by my adorable best friend and it's just a simple life delight for me at the moment.

I'm very particular about scents in general and overly floral smells tend to give me a headache. While this candle literally smells like a bouquet of roses, the blackberry tones within the candle make it a lot more subtle than a traditional floral. You can tell that these candles are high quality, the smell lingers throughout the room you're burning it in. I can't stand when a candle smells delicious in the jar, but when you light it, it smells like nothing.

Overall, if you want to indulge or treat yourself, you definitely definitely buy a Diptyque candle.

Lordy lordy, sorry I've been completely MIA this week for those of you who don't know I'm a Marketing Manager by day and a Beauty Blogger by night. This sometimes means my day job turns into a day to night job during busier parts year and also makes me miss blogging so much. So, I thought today I'd share a quick little post about something I love this week and that's bought a smile to my face.

I love Kester Black nail polish, they're an amazing Australian brand which is cruelty free (WIN!).  I've been a big fan of theirs ever since I discovered them when getting my nails done by the beauty Chelsea at Trophy Wife Nails. The formula of all the nail polishes are out of this world and they are so easy to apply, even by someone who is a little special at painting their nails like me. This colour is so dangerously attractive, I'm distracted by my fingers every time I'm typing away on my keyboard (anyone else get distracted by pretty colours?), it's a deep burgundy tone with beautiful gold reflects. All the other colours are just as beautiful and I wish I had them all in my collection.

I wanted to do a little blog post feature about all my favourite brands, and showcase each one individually, basically gushing about why I love them so much. My first Brand Focus of course had to be about my beloved Benefit Cosmetics. I actually really adore the story of how Benefit was founded by two sisters. They tossed a coin to decided whether they'd open a beauty boutique or a casserole cafe and boy am I happy they picked beauty boutique. Their first two products ever produced were their blushes and their Rosy Tint (later named Benetint), which I love because I think the tints and the blushes are what they do best. I'm also a sucker for their packaging and the adorable vintage vibe. I'm always so excited to showcase the products on my counter and they are always a feature on my make up caddy.

Within this post I wanted to talk about my favourite products, which aren't over hyped or overly talked about within the beauty community. Everyone loves the They're Real Mascara and Liner because they're great and of course many have raved about my favourite e under eye concealer Fake Up, but I wanted to talk about some of the products that don't get the limelight they deserve.

Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow (No Pressure) - This product promises to be creaseless and it delivers. I have super oily eyelids (delightful, I know) and this stays on all day. No Pressure is an amazing colour, it's a metallic taupe which is great for every day wear and it's my go to on during the week. Everyone always compliments me when I'm wearing this, so it's a winner!

Hydra Smooth Lip Colour (Dare me and Fling Thing) - First and Foremost, these two gems are displayed in the most amazing packaging. It reminds me of vintage Barbie, and who doesn't love Barbie? On top of the amazing packaging, the formula of these lipsticks are dreamy. They're Opaque, but not too much of a punch of colour, perfect for every day. They feel amazing on the lips and don't dry out your lips at all.

Hello Flawless Powder- While the liquid foundation may not agree with my skin (it breaks me out which upsets me because it's gives an amazing finish), the powder foundation is amazing. This formulation is too die for, at keeping my matte all day without making it dull. It is a lifesaver to touch up throughout the day, especially with my crazy oily t-zone. P.S Excuse all the crazy brush marks,  I may be overly eager when using this gem.

Overall, Benefit Cosmetics is love! If you haven't checked out their products you really should! If you have checked out their products let me know which ones are your favourite, I love trying out new things. Any excuse to buy more make up, right?  *insert love heart eyes emoji*

I've decided to start a little feature on my blog, were each week I introduce to you a product I would recommend you buying if you could only buy one thing. I know this is a horror for any beauty lover, because we normally want to buy multiple things a week after reading countless blogs or visiting our favourite YouTubers.  I guess this is just a post about a product I couldn't live without for the week.

It's currently winter in Australia, and while most people think that Australia is always sunny the reality the further south you go the colder it gets and at the moment Melbourne is very cold. I normally am not a person who adores moisturiser, I don't get out of the shower and instantly want to moisturiser my skin and I've been lucky enough to have skin that isn't super dry and requires it on a daily basis.

However, in the winter I find that my hands and feet get super dry and there is nothing worse than dry feet. I'm that creepy person that notices people's dry feet in sandals, gross I know. This product is a miracle worker on the feet and those dry soles. There is something extremely satisfying about dipping your fingers into this jar (isn't it just too cute?) and lathering your skin. More importantly, this stuff really works. It's thick, rich and moisturising. It's amazing and so uniquely wonderful to have a product for the feet that doesn't smell like peppermint (and don't get me wrong I love peppermint anything).  If you love The Body Shop's body butters, you'll love this, but the formula is thicker made for those very dry areas like your hands, feet and I even use it on my elbows.

What's one product you couldn't live without this week?

This is completely going to sound like a sponsored post, but it's not! I actually really just love Sodashi products.  I was introduced to their product range by the lovely ladies at Made Beauty Space in Hawthorn. There is nothing I love more than getting a facial and the ladies at Made Beauty Space are the most amazing to talk to about skin care and are so extremely knowledgeable. Not only do you experience the most amazing and relaxing spa experience, but they also are great at giving advice, using amazing organic and local products which make your skin feel amazing. Enough about gushing about these wonderful ladies, but you have to visit next time you're in Melbourne.

I'm going to be honest with you guys, I don't have the perfect skin like most of us. I actually have congestion in my forehead, which is not actually more of an internal problem as I suffer from digestion issues and IBS (lovely and TMI, I know). I've come to learn over the years, that skin care isn't just what you put on your face, but also what you consume.

On rotation on my counter Sodashi Balance Cleanser, Sodashi Calm Moisturiser, Sodashi Balancing Serum (for night time).

However, the Sodashi product range has helped my skin come a long way. I generally have combination skin with oiliness in the t-zone and my cheeks are relatively normal. I use to use a lot of stripping skin care products from the drug store which claim to get rid of oiliness, but what they ended up doing was drying out my skin and forcing it to produce more all.

What I love about the Sodashi Products is that they are chemical free, which means your skin is not constantly being stripped of all the goodness your skin needs. The products are also made in Australia with the best ingredients to help your skin improve. Yes, their skincare is on the pricer side, but I think if there is one thing you should invest in is skin care. I think when you have beautiful and glowing skin without any make up that's when you feel your most beautiful.

Like with everything, everyones skin regimen is different and while this combination works for me, it might not work for you, but I really do love the Sodashi products. I'm such a fan girl! Hah.

There is nothing more that I love than a good lipstick. I think a lipstick can make all the difference by changing your face from being flat to being vibrant and awake (which is what I need most mornings). To be honest with you most days I'm rushing out the door, so lipstick is always my saving grace so I don't look like a zombie in front of the world.

I work full time in a corporate environment, so experimenting with wacky vibrant colours is generally a no no and I keep that for my days off.  I've come to realise that most of my lipstick collection now is filled with lovely nudes and darling pink and I wanted to share with you some of my favourite every day lipsticks.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate (05) - I'm a big fan of Rimmel, I think it is one of the best drugstore affordable brands and the formula of their lipstick is fantastic. This lipstick lasts all day on the lips as the name would suggest and unlike most long lasting lipsticks this feels amazing on and is super moisturising. Plus, the colour is just too cute, it's the perfect medium tone pink that is leaning on the dusty rose side. If you look at it on my hand it's actually very similar to the YSL Rouge Pur Couture. Hello dupe!

Nars Roman Holiday - First and foremost let's take a moment to admire the name. All I can think about is the lovely Audrey Hepburn.   This colour is the perfect pink for my medium skin tones. I can never pull off a super pale pink because it always washes me out, but this is a perfect barbie pink for me. I normally pair this with a super smokey eye or with a cat eye.

Face of Australia (Peaches & Cream) - This is the most adorable apricot colour. It's a perfect and wearable peach nude that looks great with a smokey eye. A must buy and super affordable for you Australian beauty lovers. Not only is it affordable, but the formula is fantastic, it feels like butter on the lips.

Mac Cosmo - This is by far my favourite lipsticks of all time. I use this almost on a daily basis, once my lipstick choice of the day wears off I normally top up with Mac Cosmo. It's just so easy to wear, it's that whole your lips but better colour. I've always adored the Mac amplified lipstick formulas, they feel like heaven on the lips and are opaque central!

Stila Color Balm Olivia - I love these lipsticks, I normally apply this with a brush because I feel this is what gives the product a better application vs. straight from the tube. I also adore the smell of these, it's exactly like peppermint and leaves a little tingle on the lips, but don't worry it doesn't plump your lips like a bee has stung them!

YSL ROUGE PUR COUTURE (09) - Let's all take a second to admire the beautiful YSL packaging, I can't get over how stunning high end cosmetics package their products and it's always what lures me into buying them. This is a perfect midtone pink and I think is a very closely matched by the Rimmel Lasting Colour in 05.

Let me know what your every day must have lipsticks are!

This is the mascara with a cheeky name that everyone is talking about. Being from a marketing background, I have a appreciation for clever marketing and the name of this product has everyone talking.

I guess putting the name aside, people want to know does it really work? The answer is yes. As the product claim it gives your lashes a massive amount of volume. The brush is a significant amount larger than what I am use to using with my other mascaras, but it is still easy to use and wiggle across your lashes.

The formula of the mascara itself is very thick and with any thick formulated mascara you have to be careful not to overload your lashes with mascara which causes clumping and spider lashes.  So my little trick is to to wipe off any additional formula back into the tube and then apply the mascara. You don't need to be overly generous with this mascara, because it does the job even with one coat, which is a bonus because that will mean the product lasts for an extended period of time.

I was so excited to test our Deborah Lippmann nail polish, I had heard so many good things about these polishes that I couldn't wait until my package arrived. I picked the Happily Ever After collection, because the colours were beautiful and reminded me of candied almonds. Candied almonds take me back to every wedding I attended in the 90s as a kid.

The only problem with these nail polishes is that while the colours are beautiful, but the formula isn't. This set happened to be a matteen finish, which is basically a cross between a matte and a metallic finish and while in theory this sounds great it doesn't work.

To be honest with you, I've ever been a fan of matte nail polish in general. I love a matte lip, but not a nail. I always think it looks like dried chalk on the nails. Call me old school, but there is nothing more beautiful than a glossy/shiney nail.

I have to say that I'm no expert at applying nail polish, I always apply it awkwardly and continuously have to fix up my mistakes particularly when painting my right hand.  While the brush is amazing for application, the polish itself is very thick, gloopy and goes onto the nails unevenly.

There is one saving grace for these colours, they dry quickly and the moment you put on a high gloss top coat the streakiness goes away and the colours are delightfully opaque. There is nothing I love more than a good pastel colour on the nails particular in the summer.

Overall, they're pretty colours but not worth the price and the effort. I'm actually very keen to try other Deborah Lippmann nail colours in her original formula, because I know how much the beauty community loves them and I've only ever heard good things.

Let me know your thoughts have you tried any other Deborah Lippmann colours?

I love discovering great make up brushes which are affordable. It's one of my greatest little delights. I had heard so many great reviews about the Sephora Pro brushes, so I knew when I was stocking stocking up online I had to pop one of these brushes in my cart.

Since I've started using the brush, I've been in love. First and foremost, the brush feels like silk on the skin. It's one of those moments, where you take the brush out of its packaging and weirdly stroke your face with it for a good 10 minutes before even using it with foundation. You know you do it too!

The brush has a perfect combination of density and flexibility in the bristles which allows you to get into those little spots around your nose and eyes. It works great with every foundation I've used it with from Make Up Forever HD to True Match (which you know I've been having some difficulty with previously). Your face does look flawless and airbrushed when you use this. Oh and as a very special added bonus, its super easy to clean. I love that every time I wash it it almost looks brand new!

I must say June is one of my favourite months of the year, of course I'm bias because June is also my birthday month.  Birthdays equals presents and presents translate to make up purchases. Ironically, I've just realised that my June favourites don't showcase any of my new make up purchases or anything I got in my massive Sephora haul. I was feeling very nostalgic in June and used a lot of my tired and true products.

The Beginning of Everything by Robyn Schneider - I always tell myself that I shouldn't be reading young adult books any more, as I've officially entered my late twenties.  However, I can't help it. I'm a sucker for a good teenage romance/relationship novel and getting butterflies in my stomach when I read a book. I mean after all, I was a girl that was raised with mushy 90s romantic chick flicks. I could recite She's All That to you line by line.

I'm only 130 pages into The Beginning of Everything and it's got me hooked. It's so maturely written and Robyn really knows how to set a scene and makes you attached to all the characters. You're instantly in love, feel like all these fictional characters are your own friends, returns you back to how you felt in high school and just want to read more.

Nars Sheer Glow (Punjab) - I love this product. It's a wonderful foundation. I particularly love wearing this in the winter months. June has been horrendously cold in Melbourne and my skin has needed a dire pick me up from its dullness. This is exactly what Sheer Glow gives you, a natural pick me up without looking overly greasy or oily for us combination skinned ladies.

EOS Lip Balm (Sweet Mint) - I've already raved about this product in a separate post, but it's love. This little minty green button lives in my bag. The smell is just addictive and whenever I have a chance I'm using it.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo (Bad to The Bronze) - You can see from the photo that this is a much loved product. To be honest with you during the week, when I'm running out the door because I've hit the snooze button 10 times, this product is a life saver. One sweep of this across the eyelid and it looks like I've made so much effort, when really you were being lazy. I love this product as a base and as a stand alone. It does last all day on the lid without creasing. Winning!

The Balm (Frat Boy) - There is nothing I love more in winter than cheeks which look like they've been kissed by the snow. Frat Boy from The Balm is my go to peachy blush. It gives your skin a wonderful glow and literally lasts all day. This is a big statement considering I have combination skin and no blush really lasts on my skin all day! Plus, I mean how can you say no to the cheeky names and the adorable packaging?

Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil - I'm going to say something that might be a little controversial in the beauty community. I actually dislike Argan Oil for the skin, my skin instantly breaks out and reacts really poorly. I know this product is all the rave across beauty blogs for the wonders it does for your skin, but the reality is this product only works well for my hair. I have long, curly and thick hair, so managing it at times is quite difficult. After a shower I run the Argan Oil through my ends and my hair has been thankful ever since!

Hourglass Brow Sculpting Pencil (Dark Brunette) - This is going to sound completely 'beauty hipster' of me, and I can imagine this being written out in a beauty meme.  However, this product has been my favourite for quite some time. Yes, before the rave hit the YouTube and blogs. I fell in love with this product instantly when a make up artist used it on me. Since then, I've been through 2 tubes and at $50AUD a pop that's an expensive love. However, all I can say is it's totally worth it. Never has filling in my eyebrows been so easy or more natural looking. I've received so many compliments on my eyebrows as of late and this little baby is to thank. The product formula is beautiful, its not too waxy, and just glides on the eyeshadow. The  angled shape of the pencil itself, means you can get the most accurate lining of the brows.

Eyeko Curly Brush Mascara - I've always been more of a fan of longer and curled lashes than thick lashes. The Eyeko Curly Brush Mascara is perfect at lengthening your eyelashes and as you can see from the 3 curves in the brush it's perfect at curling your lashes and keeping them curled all day. I love the formula, you rarely get any fall out during the day and it's not a super thick mascara formula so your lashes easily separate. I honestly believe it is one of the most underrated mascaras on the market.

Fresh Flowers - This is a cheat favourite, because I always love fresh flowers in the house. You can see them peaking into the picture. What's your favourite flower? I have to many to choose from but I love Tulips, Peonies, Billy Buttons, Baby's Breath. and Hydrangeas.

So that's my favourites for this month, let me know what your favourites are?
