JULY BEAUTY FAVOURITES

Is it bad to admit on a fun loving beauty blog that I've had one of the worst weeks?  I guess, we should look at it this way, it was a week  that was so bad that I couldn't even avoid typing anything on my blog without mentioning it. It's weeks like these that are designed to test people and make them stronger.

I decided to do a blog post regardless of my mopey mood because my blog is my escape and talking about the items I love is my scantuary.  So, without any further sooky disruptions here are my July beauty favourites.

Nar Sheer Glow (Punjab) - This foundation has been an absolute savour. With multiple sleepless nights this month, this is the only product which has saved me from the 'you look so tired' comments at work. The foundation makes your skin look alive, even after countless teary Ed Sheeran sing alongs - admit it we've all been there.

Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette - I'm a lazy little critter in the morning, and I don't want to overly think my make up routines in the morning. This palette makes it look like I put a crazy amount of effort into my eye look, because all the colours are so beautiful!

Bobbi Brown Blush (Apricot) - This is another one of those products that makes you look alive without trying. This blush has turned me into a English Rose vs. Edward Cullen in the mornings.

L'Oreal Mascara Butterfly Effects - Most amazing and affordable product. I love this mascara! It makes my lashes fluttery and long! Two of the best combinations a girl can ask for.

MAC Lipstick Cosmo and YSL Gloss Volupte Golden 49 - These two products are my go to combination for the perfect every day lip colour. Without a doubt if you see me during the week, I'm wearing these two darlings.

Nars Eyeliner Long Wear Eyeliner - Standard black eyeliner, that I adore. It lasts forever on the eyes is just a dream!

  1. Nice picks! I've been eyeing the Nars Sheer Glow but been umm-ing and ahh-ing over whether I want to take the risk of breaking out (my skin's response to nearly every foundation). I've heard a fair few about that Bobbi Brown Blush, it looks gorgeous!
I'm sorry to hear you haven't had the greatest week but it can only get better from now on right? I hope you have a good week ahead xx

  6. Oh Dee! I'm so sorry to hear that you've had a bad week! I've been really struggling with work and even that was enough to make me feel stressed out and grumpy because I've felt like I've had no time for my blog. I'm not sure what has happened, but I'm always here if you want a stranger to talk to :)

I know what it's like to feel down in the dumps, and I think it's great if you use your blog as a release, even if it's just a post about how you're feeling with one photo - you should be able to post whatever and whenever you like!

Considering all that, I really love all of your July favourites. I have recently purchased the Nars Sheer Glow and I am loving it. At first I have to admit, I found it was too light coverage and I wasn't so impressed, but using the right primer and powder over top I have found a winning combination. Now I really want to try the butterfly mascara and the Bobbi Brown blush! Thanks for your awesome recommendations as always and I hope that things look up from here on out :) xx

    1. Thank you my darling! You're a complete and utter sweet heart.

I felt the same way about the Sheer Glow, at first my skin absolutely hated it and it still hates it in summer because I'm an oily skin combo. However, for winter it's great when my skin is behaving. You should totally try the butterfly mascara and Bobbi Brown blush.

    1. My skin doesn't agree with Mac Foundations either. I had to stop using them a few years ago, because I always break out. Mac lipsticks are amazing. x

  11. I am so excited to be trying the Nars Foundation soon, after so many girl raving about the formula. But mainly because I'm so pale, I'm hoping Siberia will be my perfect colour match!
