I guess because I'm so sensitive with smells, I was very reluctant to get excited about the Elizabeth and James fragrance that everyone was raving about. I was also hesitate, because it was created by the Olsen twins and I always um and ah about fragrances created by celebrities. However, when I sprayed it on in Sephora, I loved it. While it will never beat my love for Elie Saab perfume, it's still becoming one of my favourites.
First and foremost, the packaging is to B-A-N-A-N-A-S. I love that it is sleek and feels great to touch (weird I know) and of course it's black and gold. You all know my love for black and gold.
I loved this more than the Nirvana White, because it wasn't so florally. Florals are a big no no for me, and I gravitate towards more mature and musky scents. It's very woody, vanilla and spicy, which are my favourite kind of scents. I would also have to say it reminds me a lot of Tom Ford Black Orchid, which is also amazing, but this is a lot more affordable.
Overall, I think this is a lovely fragrance, it has a moderate lasting power, but I think would be great for winter and those colder months.
