Charlotte Tilbury, The Body Shop, NYX, Milani

On my word, how is 2014 over? I can't believe how fast the year has flown by and I am excited to start 2015.

December was a hectic month, while most people are winding down, my work starts winding up and along with that comes events, parties and festive outings.  My December favourites have been absolute saviors, particularly when I've had no time to get ready.

The Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita luxury palette has been a godsend. This compact palette traveled in my handbag throughout the month of December and we become best friends (she calls me darling and I call her sweetie). The four colours are so versatile that it took me from a  day to night look with a swipe of a eyeshadow brush.  The sparkly number on the bottom left looks amazing on the center of the eyelid.

I've also been adoring my NYX butter gloss in Apple Strudel. Let me tell you, I'm all for a bold lip, but down you're chowing down at dinner parties and business lunches, the last thing you want to worry about is having lipstick all over your face. This lovely little gloss gives the right amount of colour, feels fantastic on the lips and more importantly fades subtly.

I'm late to the bandwagon on this one, but Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso is just.... I have no words. It's a perfect mix between a blush and a highlighter and reminds me so much of a more affordable version of the Hourglass Ambient Lightening Blushes, which we all know I love!

I adore wearing festive colours on my nails during December, and A+ from Formula X has been the perfect raspberry red. I've raved about these nail polishes on countless occasions but I still can't get over how fast they dry, how long they last and how shiny they are.

And last, but certainly not least, the Body Shop's Vitamin C Energising Face Spritz feels like heaven on the skin particularly when dehydrated. This little bottle has also been traveling with me all month long and I use it like a Mac Fix Plus for a pick me up.

What have been your some of your December favourites? x

I don't think many beauty bloggers would admit to this but I've never actually been a fan of the nude lip. I've always found that it washed me out and didn't suit my skin tone. That all changed when I found the right nude lip combination.

I have three go to products for a no fuss nude lip, which is perfect for every day wear and for any look. I know this is said too much amongst the beauty community, but this combination of products creates the your lips but better look.

Step 1) Line and fill in those puckers with Charlotte Tilbury's Pillow Talk. This lip pencil is designed to reshape and resize your lips, think Kylie Jenner! Personally, I don't use the pencil to create larger lips but to make sure my lipstick stays on all day.
Step 2) Swipe a little Tarte Glamazon Lipstick in Inspired, all over that pout. It's a perfect match for Pillow Talk and the matte consistency means that colour isn't going anywhere.
Step 3) Apply the delightful Nars Lipgloss in Coeur Sucre to the centre of your pout for the perfect amount of shine and ta da you're done!

I'm not going to lie, I'm very much a homebody. My Saturday nights are usually spent with a tub of ice cream, a block of chocolate or a cup of tea (sometimes all at once, I know I'm a rebel). This is usually partnered with a lot of reality television, where I tend to scream at the television. So, during those rare moments I go out on a Saturday night to rage, by rage I mean consume delicious food, these are my essentials.

The one good thing about going out is putting my pretty make up to use. My Saturday night isn't complete without a little Milani eyeshadow (this stuff doesn't budge all night), a swipe of Tom Ford lipstick in Casablanca and a coating of YSL Gloss Volupte in Rose Jersey

I've also been completely in love with The Daily Edited personalized leather goods, I feel like Blair Waldorf and Chuck Bass' love child by having my initials plastered on all my items. The clutch is perfect for those no fuss night out and makes for a lovely talking point.

Finally, the golden necklace from Rare Rabbit quickly takes my tank top from drab to fab and a sprites of Coco Chanel Noir just makes you feel expensive. The smell of this stuff is just addictive! Every time I wear it, I relieve an immense amount of compliments.

Hello my beautiful darlings,

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas, and enjoyed your time with your family and friends. I also hope Santa delivered you some special treats, particularly beauty ones.

I just wanted to share with you a couple of snaps from my instagram page for those who might not follow!  @darlingdeedee.

This lip balm is a little piece of heaven.  If I'm being honest with my blogging family, I actually can't stand lip balms. I hate the way they feel on my lips, but over the last couple of weeks and because of the mayhem of Christmas I've been wanting a coloured lip with no fuss, and boy does this stuff deliver.

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment
Excuse the melted balm stick, it's because it's 30 degrees Celsius in Australia and the packaging with sun baking in my car.

First and foremost, this stuff smells amazing. It's like lemon gelato and who doesn't love gelato! Secondly, it's the perfect sheer mid tone pink that looks amazing on any skin tone and lastly it's a lovely consistency which doesn't make your lips feel sticky and gross! It's literally like a moisturiser for your lips.

Take a look at that swatch! How can you be disappointed with a lip balm that gives you those kind of results.  Love, love, love!

Cosmetics, Make Up, Stila, Rose Gold, Gold, Buy

Oh my rose gold. Yes, I know I should be talking about the actual product instead of the package, but the packaging is amazing. Stila, has done an amazing job with the packaging of the 'eyes are the windows' palette.

Initially I was drawn to the Soul palette but told myself that I needed a little bit of colour in my life and I couldn't keep buying purely neutral palettes despite how beautiful they are.  The Spirit palette is a great middle ground product. It's beautifully neutral, but has pops of colour so you makes you feel  adventurous.

I must say, these eyeshadows are wonderful.  There is a mixture of shimmers, satins and mattes,  so you can create some dynamic looks. All the formulas are wonderful and there is very minimal fall out.  My favourite is the top right hand burgundy colour, which makes for an exciting smokey eye vs. a black or a brown.

Overall, this palette is delightful, and it's a great little Christmas present for any beauty lover. I must say, if I had this in my stocking I'd be squealing just for the packaging.

Glazed Apple, The Body Shop,

I just have to start this off by saying this scent makes me giddy! It's one of my favourite releases from one of my favourite brands. The moment I heard that The Body Shop was launching a glazed apple collection I knew I had to get my hands on it.

The glazed apple tin of treasures comes with a miniature Shower Gel, Body Butter, Body Lotion, Body Polish and a cute little green loofa. It's all packaged in a cute little apple tin perfect for storage of bits and bobs.

Glazed Apple, The Body Shop,

The smell itself of divine! It's mouth watering goodness and you wouldn't expect less from a name like Glazed Apple. It's sugary sweetness, but the crispness of the apple keeps it from being sickly. If you're a sucker for anything apple scented like I am, this is a little set and product line to go on the Christmas wishlist.

I can't even hold my excitement for these nail polishes. I have been a massive fan of iScream Nails for years. I knew the collection wouldn't disappoint,  Celia and her team are amazing nail artist in Australia.

It's launches like these that make me so happy and proud about the amount of talent we have in Australia, we are lucky to have so many amazing beauty curators.

These nail polishes are amazingly pigmented, dry super quickly, are easy to apply and the packaging and names make you reminisce about the wonder years.  Let's not also forget to mention that they're cruelty free!

Left to right (Mint Madness, Sunny Boy, Juicy Juicy, Blue Haven, Bubblegum Bang and Grape Soda)

I love that fact they are shaped like mini ice scream cones (how cute!) and the colours just make me excited for when Melbourne has a proper summer. The names make me feel like a young at heart and the moment I read  Sunny Boy and Blue Haven,  I was transported to grade 2 with pig tails waiting in line for the canteen to buy my summer treats.

The colours are so fun, and very summery. Any girl would be happy to have these under her Christmas tree this year.

If you can't tell, I'm on a bit of a NARS kick! Don't be surprised if this isn't the last post about this beloved brand.

The Audacious lipstick collection is a very loved release amongst beauty bloggers and I must say it's worth the hype.  However, it has been a struggle trying to get  the colours I've been wanting in Australia. So I was forced to purchase from Sephora International,  let's be honest that's not really a complaint, I picked up some other goodies along the way.

Barbara, Nars, Audacious, Vera

The two colours I put in my basket was Barbara and Vera. Barbara is the perfect pinky nude for another with a medium skin tone and Vera is the kind of red I want in my life forever. Who doesn't love a raspberry red? The formula of these lipsticks are off the chain. They feel amazing on the lip, and are the perfect satin finish. I love my lipsticks to be more of a satin, because it's the perfect mixture between a matte and a sheen finish.

These are a must buy for everyone who loves lipsticks as much as I do! To be honest with you, I want to do another cheeky order before Christmas to fill my own stocking. Oh the unhealthy lifestyle of a beauty lover!
