Oh my lucky stars! I think I've found the greatest, most pigmented, delightfully smooth blush and at only $8.49US a pop! Or for us Aussie's you can get these here, for $16.50.

I purchased these during my US trip in September and ever since I started using them, I find myself reaching for one on a daily basis. We all know I was first attracted to them, because the packaging was gold, and gold is my weakness.

Left to Right: Dolce Pink (Midtone Pink with golden Shimmer),  Bella Rose ( Bright Pink. Matte, slightly satin),  Carolina ( Peach with silver shimmer) and Luminoso (Peach Satin)

My one little criticism about the packaging is it's quite chunky and takes up a lot of room in any make up collection. The reason behind this, is because the packaging not only includes the blush,  but a little mirror and brush for those who want to touch up throughout the day. The reality is, you don't need too touch up with this product, the formula of these blushes is so delightful, they last on the skin all day and coming from someone with combination skin, that's is a feat and a great test to pass.

The packaging claims that these blushes, shapes, contours and highlights. I personally wouldn't use any of the shades to contour, but a lot of the shimmery shades are great for a blush/highlight combo - allowing you to skip the additional step of applying a highlighter.

If you only buy one of these blushes, my recommendation and my favourite is Luminoso. This blush is just amazing, will rival any high end blush and is a very close dupe for Hourglass Dim Infusion with more of a sheen.

All of you are going to start thinking I'm a liar. I keep harping on about how I don't like lipgloss and now my two latest blog posts are all about glosses. The reality is I think I hate the idea of lipgloss. I must have been scarred in my youth by cheap gloss that felt like you had slathered your lips with glue. As I've gotten older, I've found glosses which make me happy, and this is what this post is all about.

These glosses are 3 key things, comfortable to wear, my hair doesn't get stuck in them and last but not least they are PINK!

Maybelline 'The Elixir' | Captivating Carnation - This has to be one of the most talked about beauty products of all time. I remember when this was launched, the beauty blogger world went crazy for them and it was a product which truly broke the internet and emptied out drug store shelves.  The Elixir formula feels like a balm on the lips and gives a subtle colour payoff. The one thing I will say about them is they are slightly sticky to touch and sometimes they slide around the lips if not layered on top of a lipstick.  For those interested, I have a blog post, all about these little trinkets which includes swatches.

NYX Butter Gloss | Peaches and Cream - Without a doubt, hands down my favourite 'drug store' lipgloss. This stuff feels amazing on the lips and doesn't feel sticky, not in the slightest. The colours are also very pigmented for a gloss and are great for all day wear. Give me more, just give me more! Definitely give them a go. I've also done a blog post all about these delights.

Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stain | Sweetheart Valentine - I don't know if I can call this a lipgloss, because it is a balm in the truest sense. However, it's the most pigmented balm I have ever tried. The minty smell is addictive and makes your lips feel amazing. It's a great product for those 'no make-up' make up days, basically my Sundays!

YSL Gloss Volupte | 202 - I have no words for this product. I worship it *insert heart eyes emoji* and it gets cradled in my bag every day!  I know YSL beauty products cost an arm and a leg, but they really are one of those products that are worth the dollars. This product is the! The applicator is perfectly shaped to fit into your cupid bow, the formula is a dream and the colour payoff is just  magical! As goldlocks would say, this lipgloss is just right, Plus... look at the packaging.

Let me know some of your favourite glosses! I'm always interested in finding some new loves.

Gerard Cosmetics, Gerard Cosmetics Lipglosses, Beauty Blogger, Australian Beauty Blogger, Melbourne Beauty Blogger, Blogger, Review, Jaclyn Hill, Rose Hill, Plum Crazy and Pouty Princess, Swatches.

Some of you lovelies have already seen my in depth review on Gerard Cosmetics' lipsticks and today I wanted to have a little chat about their lip glosses. While my review on the lipsticks were quite mixed, the lipglosses are a completely different story.  They are divine.

Many of you already know that I'm not a fan of lip glosses, I find them irritating to wear and I don't like the fact that some formulas slip and slide across the lips. Gerard Cosmetics' lipglosses are unique. They last a significantly long time on the lips and the colour payoff can rival any lipstick. I must warn you though, the formula are sticky and thick. There is no denying the tackiness of the gloss, but it's not uncomfortable. It takes some getting use to when you first start applying the glosses, but once the colour locks in, you soon release the tackiness is what gives the colours their staying power.

The packaging of the glosses is a lot more studier than the lipsticks also, you can rest easy knowing these lipglosses are not going to get all over your hand bag. The little light and mirror are perfect for touch ups and the doe foot applicator is a standard size making application easy.

Overall, if you're looking for a highly pigmented gloss and one which lasts. I'd recommend giving Gerard Cosmetics a go. There's always a discount code floating around, so you can always snap them up when they are on sale.

After hearing all the rage about these delightful creatures, I had to put them in my shopping basket last weekend. I'll be honest with you, I have never tried a By Terry product until this moment, but if the rest of their range is as amazing I'm SOLD!

I've always been hesitate of any eyeshadow that comes in a cream or stick form. My eyeslids are slippery little suckers, and traditionally any cream product I place them, melts off and creases like no other. However, I don't know that magic formula that's been used to create these master pieces but they last all day on the eyelid with no crease in site. Magic. I know.

Brown Perfection and Rose Quatz

The reality with these Ombre Blackstar sticks, is that you definitely get what you pay for. They are a higher end product and very much a luxury brand - but at least they do what they say.  There is nothing worse then forking out significant dollars, for an item which is all talk!

They are amazing. The colour payoff using one swipe is insane and the dimension of each colour is bewitching.  They can be used on their own, or underneath an eyeshadow to create a stunning eye. I use Rose Quatzs all over the lid and Brown Perfection to smoke out the corners. These are definitely one for the birthday wishlist.

Nuxe Reve De Miel, Lip BALM
Nuxe has finally made it's way to Australia, and thankfully is easily accessible at Priceline.  I picked up this much talked about balm, and decided to give it a go.  The truth is, I'm not a fan of lip balm in general. I don't like the slippery feeling and my lips are never excessively dry that they need constant conditioning.

The packaging is lovely, and I wouldn't expect any less form a French brand (they know their packaging). The balm is housed in a beautifully frosted jar with a coral lid, and every time you turn the lid it  makes a 'pop' sound. Strange thing to mention, I know, but it's oddly satisfying.

The product itself smells amazing, it's smells like a honey pot but there is a slight citrus undertone. The ingredients list is on point and you can understand why people love this product:

Honey - An ingredient which is added to balms or beauty products for its repairing properties.
Almond Oil and Shea Butter -  To sooth.
Plant Oils  - To nourish and smooth out the lips.

The balm itself is very thick in consistency, which at first put me off because I thought it would feel like petroleum jelly on the lips.  The moment you rub it onto your lips, it completely changes. It's soaked straight up into the lips and blends beautifully. After a few moments it dries matte, it's strange because you can still feel the moisture on the lips but in the mirror you don't see any shine!

My lips look visiably smoother, and when applying lipstick directly on top, it went on with no fuss. Overall, if you have dry lips or your lips need a little TLC, I would definately give it a go. It is one of the best balms I've tried.

Blush, Beauty, Stila, Cosmetics, Review, Swatches, Blogger, Pretty In Pink
I, Dana from Darling Dee Dee love Valentine's Day! I feel like I am in an AA meeting where I have tto admit all my unhealthy obsessions.  I know being in my later twenties I should have joined the, 'it's a hallmark holiday' bandwagon and 'Valentine's Day shouldn't be the only day you express your love', but I will always be a hopeless romantic.  Internally, I'm still very much a fifteen year old that loves Nicholas Sparks books and cheesy Rom-Coms.  However, one very grown up thing about this wonderful holiday is the annual release of Stila's Valentine's Day themed blush.

The first one I ever bought was 'Love at First Sight' in 2012 and I wore it every day, until I accidentally dropped it and I was heart broken, I didn't think I could ever love another blush the same way. That was until 2013 when'All You Need is Love' was released, it's a delightful mid-tone pink and I still use it 'til this day.

This year Stila released 'Pretty in Pink' and I'm just smitten. The packaging is the best it has ever been. Look at that shiny sliver! The design of the blush itself is so delicate and beautiful, I love the pale pink heart with a lace print around it.  I formula is wonderful, there hasn't been a Valentine's Day blush which has disappointed. Stila has always been amazing at creating beautifully pigmented blushes that are blendable, buildable and affordable. This shade is best for light to medium skin tones, it's quite a pale pink. However, you can build it up for darker skin tones.

Do yourself a favour and give yourself a little Valentine's Day present! This blush is just darling.
