MAC X CINDERELLA LIP GLASS | GLASS SLIPPER

I know what you're thinking, a second post all about the MAC  X Cinderella collection? But Dee, most of these items are sold out! I'm so sorry, I haven't shared this with you earlier, I can make up excuses, but the reality is life and work just got in the way. So, even though this post is long overdue, hopefully you can still enjoy my rambles about this wonderfully magical lip glass.

It's been a long time since a MAC collection has captivated the hearts of all beauty lovers as much as this one has. Back in the day, there use to be a community on LiveJournal I was apart of, which use to monitor and watch every release by MAC. I was addicted, and had to get my hands on every collection.  However, I haven't felt that way about a MAC release in the longest time until now.

The hopeless romantic and Disney lover in me had to purchase the lip glass in "Glass Slipper", because most women know an special shoe  when worn right can always change your life and make you feel invincible.

The  lip glass is described as a "light milky pink with pinkish pearl.” The formula is extremely sheer almost translucent, with a significant amount of shimmer.   However, when applied to the lips you don't look like a walking disco ball, it's actually very subtle and extremely wearable. I use it on top of my favourite pink lipstick to accentuate the pout.

If you couldn't get your hands on this release, try the following which are very similar Chanel Lipgloss in Songe and Revlon Snow Pink.

MAC X CINDERELLA STROKE OF MIDNIGHT EYESHADOW PALETTE

In the words of Cinderella, a dream is a wish the heart makes and this palette is a dream come true for any beauty lover.  I knew I needed to get my hands on this collection before it vanished as fast as Cinderella's carriage turned into a pumpkin.

The palette is ideal for any neutral lover and is made up of some much loved MAC shades. It's a great addition if you're thinking of building your collection and for those who miss out, you can rest easy the palette is dupeable, the only original shade  is 'Stoke of Midnight'.   However, purchasing the eyeshadow in this format is also a cost saving exercise, for 6 shadows you pay $72AUD/$44US, vs. $198AUD/$96US.

Mac, Cinderella, Make Up, Mac Cosmetics, Swatches, Stoke of Midnight.

Vapour is a velvet finish eyeshadow, which is a beautiful pinky/cream colour. Perfect for highlighting under the brow bone.

Phloof is a delightful frost formula, it's a pinky beige and ideal to use near the the tear duct.

Omega is a matte, and it's a very neutral beige, very soft and subtle. The colour would be used to contour the crease to add definition.

Quarry,  my absolute favourite. The reason I love this colour is because its so very similar to my favourite Colourpop Cosmetics eyeshadow 'Bill'. They're both a bewitching plum brown perfect to subtly smoke out the outer c.

Satin Taupe, I call this shade the OG Tanya Burr. When I started watching YouTube beauty tutorials many moons ago, I have a vivid memory of Tanya using this colour constantly and I don't blame her, it's stunning. It's a frost finish and perfect to sweep all over the eyelid during those lazy days. It's very similar to Quarry, but with a silver shimmer running through it.

Stroke of Midnight, this colour is no ordinary black. It's more of a black/plum with purple shimmers through it. It's a velvet, so it isn't as shimmery as a frost. A great way to change up your traditional black.

COLOUR POP SUPER SHOCK SHADOWS | REVIEW

Colour Pop Eyeshadows, Bill, Cricket, Fringe, Hustle, Ibiza, Krinkle, On the Rocks, So Quiche,
This post has been a long one in the making, but I am very excited to finally share it with you all. These ColourPop Super Shock Shadows have been raved about endlessly through blogs, instagram and YouTube.  At $5 a pop (no pun intended), I had to give these a go and make sure they weren't too good to be true.

I received my eyeshadow in a mail a few weeks ago, and since their much anticipated arrival I've been using them on a daily basis.  I put them through the ringer and tested them in multiple ways- with a base, without a base, on hot days and on cold days. I really wanted to make sure before I shared my opinion that I had used them enough to communicate my honest thoughts.

These have hands down become my favourite eyeshadows and I can't wait to purchase more. I honestly believe they are better quality than my much loved MAC eye shadows and last all day, even on my hideously oily lids.

Colour Pop Eyeshadows, Bill, Cricket, Fringe, Hustle, Ibiza, Krinkle, On the Rocks, So Quiche,

The formula of these eyeshadows will not be as you expect. The moment you touch them, you'll be instantly surprised. The shadows themselves are very creamy in consistency, they almost feel like a cream, which is why the original pattern fades away quickly upon use. While I traditionally steer clear from cream for fear of creasing, these eye shadows magically say on the eyelids and almost transform into a powder once blended in.

The shadows come in 7 interesting and delightful finishes including matte, metallic, pearlized, pressed pigment, satin, tie die and ultra metallic. I purchase 3 of the 7 all of which are fantastic.

Colour Pop Eyeshadows, Bill, Cricket, Fringe, Hustle, Ibiza, Krinkle, On the Rocks, So Quiche,

Bill (Matte) - This is an amazing taupe/light Brown matte colour. I use this on a daily basis all over my lid, and it's perfect for every day wear.

Cricket (Metallic) - This colour is so delightfully unique. Every time I swatch it, I feel like it's a colour the belongs in a Disney movie. It's a deep purple with light purple and silver glitter. The glitter has completely no fall out. Magical, I know!

Fringe (Metallic) - Beautiful champagne colour  with silver reflects throughout.  Perfect for a highlight colour.

Hustle (Matte) - A true burgundy, perfect for smoking out the outer 'c'! A great way to use a different shadow to create a multidimensional smokey eye.

Ibiza (Pearlized) - Ibiza reminds me of a mermaid. It's a completely whimsical colour and the swatch doesn't do it justice. Its so multidimensional and a perfect turquoise with silver shimmers. This all over the lid, is just mesmerizing.

Krinkle (Metallic) - Krinkle reminds me of a Christmas Beetle. The colour is a blue/grey with silver and blue shimmer.

On the Rocks (Metallic)- This colour is also my favourite. It's a beautiful bronze with light purple shimmers and just is delightful on the centre of the lid to complete a look. A must have in any beauty lovers collection.

So Quiche (Metallic) - Love the name and love the shadow. It's a metallic taupe with purple reflects. Great for all over the lid.

L'OREAL MISS MANGA MEGA VOLUME MASCARA | REVIEW

There has never been a time that I have tried a mascara and instantly fallen in love . Normally, it takes me a few applications before I can decide if it's love or just lust. However, with the L'Oreal Miss Manga Mega Volume mascara, it was definitely love at first go.

I'm very much a girl who adores a lengthening mascara more so than one which gives you volume. This mascara is an expert at lengthening, while also giving your lashes some body. My favourite mascaras are normally those which don't clump, easily lengthen, non smudging and don't give that spidery lash effect. I don't ask for much do I? Miss Manga delivers, it's all of these things and so much  more.

Mascara Applicator, Miss Manga, Beauty, Masacara

The applicator is unique, it's a cone shape and bendable, and not overly large (nothing more I dislike than a large applicator).  The shape allows you to flutter and build up the outer lashes, while also  capturing those pesky lashes close to the tear duct. Definitely, one to try and I'm stocking up because this beauty is limited edition!

FEBRUARY FAVOURITES

How is it already March? I've come to realise the older I get, the faster the years seem to go by! I guess one good thing about time flying by is that I get to share with you my monthly favourites. This month, I rekindled with some old flames and also discover some new ones. So here we go:

Lacome Teint Idol Ultra 24H -  Many moons ago this foundation was my holy grail, and after repurchasing it this month, I don't know why I ever stopped using it. It's just a dream for anyone with combination/oily skin and and it goes on so smoothly. No cake face and no clinging on to dry patches. This is the only foundation I've used were at the end of the day I still see it on my face. I have one of those skin types were in 3 hours all my make up generally tends to slide offs like Mr Doubtfire and her cake mask!

Colourpop Super Shock Shadow | On the Rocks -  My love for Colourpop cosmetics is on the fangirl rickter scale of love. I have a few posts coming up about their Super Shock Shadows and Lippie Stix, so keep an eye out. However, On The Rocks has been my favourite colour to use in the middle of the eyelid. It's a beautiful bronze with purple, yes I said purple shimmer through it. This is amazing to give your eyelids dimension and the formula is just creamy smooth!

Kevin Aucoin The Volume Mascara - I do adore this mascara, but I believe it's incorrectly named. It's not a voluminous mascara, it's actually a lengthening mascara. I love the formula, it's non smudging and beautifully separates each lash. I brush is delightfully thin, so I tend to utilise it for my bottom lashes. I wear this all night, with not a smudge in sight!

Gold Rings -  I have never been a girl who wears rings on a regular basis, but I have found some gold rings that I can't do without. When wearing this Monica Vinader ring (which I spotted on Amelia Liana's fingers) I have received an excessive amount of compliments. I partner this ring, with this adorable golden hollow heart ring I found on etsy

Marble - I've been in love with anything which has a marble print on it! And these wonderful tiles in this picture were inspired by Young Mum Stuff on instgram. I can't believe these were just sample tiles. They make for a beautiful place to rest your jewellery and nick nacks.
