TOO FACED | BORN THIS WAY FOUNDATION

I'm always very skeptical when there is hype around a foundation, mostly because my skin type is very temperamental and all foundations wear quite badly on me throughout the day.  When the bloggers-sphere went into meltdown over this product I still had my reservations, many were comparing it to Make Up Forever HD, and while that foundation is great when first applied I find it separates throughout the day, particularly around my oily t-zone.

All I can say, is this foundation for me is ten times better than MUFE HD. After wearing it across 3 full days of work (which for me consistent of 10 to 12 hour days at times), this foundation was resilient and was still on the skin, which for anyone who has an oily/combination skin type is a complete and utter unexpected win.

What makes me even happier, is it lasts on the face and it's not completely matte. There is nothing I hate more, than turning myself into a zombie with matte foundation only to have to bring my skin back to life using an excessive amount of contour, blush and highlight. This foundation is more of a satin, and reminds me very much of Nars Sheer Glow, but lasts  a lot longer on the skin.  The only slight negative is that you have to be careful when pumping out this product. One pump gives you a little bit too much product, but really that's a flaw I can live with. With half a pump, this product gives you the move amazing medium to full coverage on your skin.

Also, not that it matters for all people but this foundation is  encased in a beautiful glass bottle, which just makes me feel a little extra special when using it each morning.  I have to say you definitely  need to give this a go if you have issues with your foundation lasting throughout the day.

  1. I've been so tempted to try this product because I see it everywhere and everyone loves it! But I don't know if it would work well for dry skin....maybe I'll test it in store? Great review!

  2. I'm glad it's worked for you! Unfortunately I can't say the same for me, I wanted to love it and keep it but I just can't... The joy of foundations, they work differently on every one! xx

  4. SO happy that you love this foundation as much as me! I am truly obsessed with mine! I was going to wear the MUFE HD foundation for my wedding but now I am thinking of switching to this bad boy!!! I feel it also has similarities to the Estee Lauder Double Wear but it is much more blendable and less cakey with a similar lasting powder. Love your post as always! Missing you & hope you are well! xx

    1. I am in love with this foundation so much. I 100% agree, very similar to the lasting power of double wear without the cakeness! I miss you too! Hope things are going well and the wedding planning is sounding so exciting.

  7. I want a new foundation and with so many options it gets overwhelming after reading this review I'm so tempted to try this one out. Do you think it would be good for normal/dry skin types?

    1. To be honest with you, I think it's made for people with oiler skin types, only because the formula is designed to be long laster.
