Believe it or not, I've actually never used a self tanner.  I have a natural olive skin tone, but with the relentless Melbourne winter and being cooped up in an office for hours on end, I'm starting to look paler and paler.

If I'm being completely honest,  I've always been terrified of using a self tanner. I  have fear turning the colour of an oompa loompa. So, when I discovered a gradual self tanner, I knew it would be the safer alternative for someone who is a newbie and scaredy cat like me.

First and foremost, the packaging is wonderful, easy to use, travel friendly and comes in a squeeze pouch, how can you not love it? It reminds me of those yogurt pouches in the supermarket that I'm always too embarrassed to buy because they're made for kids! Not only is the packaging great, but the product smells like vanilla shortbread.

The gradual self tan is white, and then builds into the skin invisibly. The formula itself is very moisturising and felt great to apply on the skin. I used it every day for a week, and my skin ended up having a very natural tan, which looked like I had been holidaying in the Bahamas. This product is also formulated with a sunscreen, so I'll be pulling this delight out when the sun starts creeping out and the skirts start coming out.

  1. Haven't seen this before! I am the same as you, olive skin tone and I tan easily in the sun (although not safe), I never properly gave fake tan a go. This sounds great :) xx

  2. This sounds so easy to use! I sometimes prefer a gradual tanner rather than something too intense to start off with! Lovely post!
